Grizzly Update from the Executive
It’s a great time to be a Grizzly!  

Hockey season is right around the corner, here is some important information to share with Grizzly players and families following the latest executive meeting on Wednesday, August 29.

Teams:
Centre Hastings plans on icing the following teams this year with the following coaches:  

Intro Tyke – Accepting coaching Applications
Junior Tyke – Accepting coaching Applications
Sr. Tyke – Don Alexander
Novice – Jeanna Oke
Atom – James McConnell
Peewee – John Croskery
Bantam – Not enough players, requesting to fold team and 3.5s will be issued for players who had already registered to tryout at the next closest centre.
Midget Rep – Ken Mckichan
Midget Leo – Accepting coaching applications
Juvenile – Accepting coaching applications  

Coaching applications can be found on the website. It is our intention to ice these teams at this point, depending on numbers and additional registrations, plans might be altered. Players and parents will be kept up to date on progress.

Tryouts: Tryouts begin Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Marmora. The tryout schedule is posted in the website's newsfeed.

Lots of other great things are happening with Centre Hastings Minor Hockey, including:
· Bumpers are being purchased for tyke cross-ice hockey
· Power skating and goalie clinics will continue for Sr. Tyke, Novice, Atom and Peewee players
· The EOMHL has moved to electronic game sheets this season, all game sheets will be electronically uploaded this season saving coaches and managers time and effort
· E-Bin will be available in Madoc once again for Electronic Waste – we are looking for a location for an E-Bin in Marmora, please let us know if you are aware of a suitable location
· The association will be selling Krispy Kreme donuts to offset costs of icetime and officials, stay tuned for more information

Grizzly Day will be held on September 30, 2018 at the Marmora arena.
o   A mouth guard clinic will be available for players that day
o   A station will be set up to order Grizzly Wear
o   Season’s passes will be available
o   We invite every Grizzly to give back through our food drive
