2021/2022 Season - Letter from the President
Submitted By Crystal Julia on Thu 09 02, 21
Hello Grizzly Families,

I hope everyone has had a great summer and enjoyed getting out to do some things that they love. We are ready to welcome back our hockey players and families and are very optimistic for a “normal” season, as much as we are permitted to do so.

Our first ice time is scheduled for Saturday, September 11, 2021. Please check the organization calendar on our website so that you will know when your players have ice time over the coming weeks. These initial skates are designed for skill development and conditioning. We are very proud to be able to get our players back on the ice as early as possible. Tryouts will begin the week of September 27th. Please stay tuned for those coming dates and keep in mind that current ice times are not guaranteed and do not reflect what the season schedule may look like.

Our payment plan this year is as follows:

- 50% of season fee due by September 11th, 2021
- Remaining 50% due no later than November 30, 2021
*please check our website for all team fees and methods of payment (General Information)

If you have outstanding payments from last season, you will need to contact our Treasurer to ensure you are paid in full for last season and the start of this season before your player steps on the ice. Additionally, if you have applied for financial assistance and are awaiting a decision, please send a confidential email to our Treasurer so that she is aware.

A coaches meeting will take place the week of September 7th. Following that meeting, your coach may contact you regarding upcoming skates.

Lastly, as we continue to live through the Covid-19 pandemic, provincial guidelines and regulations will apply while at our arenas. Masks must be worn while inside the premises, social distancing of 6 ft. or more is required and contact tracing is mandatory, so please sign in when you arrive. Players will be permitted to enter the arenas 15 minutes before their ice time, so it is recommended that they dress as much as possible prior to arrival.

Welcome back everyone! Let’s make it a great season!!

Your friend in hockey,

Crystal Julia President, CHMHA
